Breweries of Bavaria Bike Tour 4-day West Itinerary BT3-4W
Between Munich and the Alps lies one of Germany’s most
scenic cycling regions: the Bavarian Alpine Foothills. On this bike tour,
you’ll experience a landscape that looks as if it were taken straight out of a
fairytale. If you’d like, you can also enjoy it as a Bavarian brewery cycling
tour, with a few optional stops that offer a tasty introduction to Bavaria’s
historic beer culture. Bavaria is idyllic: Rolling hills, meadows, and
forests lead you through quaint villages rich in tradition and authentic
culture. Along the way, you’ll spot typical onion-domed Baroque churches,
centuries-old farmhouses, classic beer gardens, and beautifully painted façades
– typical of the region. Each night, you’ll stay in family-owned
accommodations, allowing you to truly experience warm Bavarian hospitality and
delicious food. Views of the Alps will accompany you throughout most
of your journey with their majestic peaks watching over the idyllic rolling
countryside. You will also pass several beautiful lakes, including the
famous “Bavarian Sea (Chiemsee),” and stay overnight on an island with a famous
monastery —an unforgettable highlight of the tour. This tour is ideal if you are looking for a cycling
experience that is rich in picturesque scenery, oozing with charm and filled
with delicious Bavarian culinary specialties. This Munich-to-Munich bike loop
follows snippets of various designated bicycle routes through the Bavarian
countryside, many of which follow designated bicycle paths. There are gravel
sections on this tour, and there may be some short sections where it is
necessary to walk the bicycle. Beyond our support with booking and planning your
route, you can make the trip even smoother by renting a bike or e-bike through
Alpenventures or adding our Airport-to-Airport package.
