Tour du Mont Blanc Stretched Itinerary TMB-11
Highlights
- GO take in the food and culture in three different countries: France, Switzerland and Italy
- GO enjoy breathtaking views and high passes while circling the highest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc
- GO enjoy more comfortable accommodation than what is available on most multi-day hiking tours in the Alps
The Tour du Mont Blanc, or TMB Trek as it is
also called, is the most famous hut-to-hut hiking tour in the Alps, and for
good reason. This 11-day self guided Tour du Mont Blanc hike loops around the
highest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc, which towers over the surrounding
landscape at 4,808 meters above sea level. In addition to traveling through
some of the most spectacular terrain in the Alps, a full rotation on the Tour
du Mont Blanc brings you through France, Switzerland, and Italy. The alignment of this 11-day itinerary makes it
perfect for hikers who are interested in the comforts of private accommodation
(except 1 night) and luggage transfer. With this itinerary, it is possible to
schedule the rest day in Courmayeur (based on availability).

Current Availability
Updated January 9th, 2025
All availability, including in dormitory rooms, is already quite restricted for the upcoming season. The best availability is in August, particularly in the first 3 weeks.
We will be able to book the best itineraries for smaller groups (2 or 3 hikers) who provide us with a flexible date range of two weeks or more. If you do not have a flexible date range, then it is important to be flexible with off-trail accommodation or to be able to hike longer and more challenging days.
If private rooms are a priority, 2-3 nights off-trail accommodations might be required. At least 1 night in an off-trail accommodation is also likely for customers booking the Ultralight Package. Off-trail accommodation is easily reachable, sometimes by either a hiking deviation or by bus.
The first couple months of the year is a popular time for vacation planning, and we see availability disappear rapidly this time of year. It is best to book the tour as soon as you are ready. We can book the best itineraries for customers who provide us with a flexible date range to work with.
You can book the tour online by following the green button, “GO Book the Tour.”
