Hut to Hut in the Austrian Alps Extended Version HHT6-7
This itinerary is a full
immersion into the remote and wild corners of the Sellrain Mountain Range and
it delivers a full program of waterfalls, glacier views and alpine meadows. We
consider this itinerary a top choice for hikers who want to spend more time on
the trail and less time traveling, given the fast and easy connections at both
ends of the trail to the Innsbruck Airport.
This itinerary has shorter, well-balanced hiking days,
made possible by mountain huts that are located closer together than on many
classic Alpine routes. It’s an ideal option for hikers who want to experience
dramatic alpine landscapes without committing to long, exhausting days. There
are two challenging sections on the route that require consideration: a more
technical stretch on day one, which can be avoided by taxi, and a long descent
on day two that may be demanding for those with knee issues. Overall, this tour
offers a rewarding alpine experience at a more comfortable pace.
