Hut to Hut in the Austrian Alps 6-day Itinerary HHT6-6
A classic itinerary that begins near Innsbruck and ends above the Oetz Valley, this is a perfect choice for hikers who want to plan in some extra days after their hike in the outdoor playground of the Oetz Valley, or who want to end their hike at one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Austrian Alps. Of course, the highlight of this itinerary is the hut-to-hut hike itself, which follows the well-built trails that wind past waterfalls and streams and through high alpine scenery, connecting charming mountain huts in the Sellrain Mountain Range.
Thanks to huts that are fairly close together, this itinerary offers shorter hiking days than can be found on most hut-to-hut hiking itineraries in the Alps. The most difficult sections are Day 1, which can be partially bypassed via taxi and a large descent on Day 2.
