Custom Tour Request
On occasion, we plan and organize completely custom tours in the Alps for our customers. These are tours that include trails and/or accommodations that we do not work with in any of our standard tour itineraries. We only take on Custom Tour Requests when our team has capacity, which is most likely in October, November or December. We do not do any Custom Tour Requests with less than 3 months' notice.

Planning a Custom Tour is very time-consuming and our prices reflect that. Please be respectful of our time and only submit tour requests if you have true intentions of booking the tour through us.
- Custom Tour without Navigation Information: 20% additional charge to the normal tour fee
This includes the reservations, overnights, and meals that we are able to include, as well as an itinerary overview that breaks down the distance and elevation gain for individual segments along the tour. This does not include any navigation information. - Custom Tour with Navigation Information: 30% additional charge to the normal tour fee
This includes everything above, as well as specific navigation information, such as directions where possible, and set up in the navigation app. Note that as we are not experts on this route, it's important to understand that there may be some errors in this information
Despite the higher price of a Custom Tour Request, the service level that we are able to provide is much lower than what we provide with our standard tours. Here's why:
- Most likely, we haven't hiked the trails that you want to include in your itinerary, and if we did, we probably did it for leisure and weren't paying attention to the same details that we would normally like to pass on regarding the trail. We will do our best to research the trail and to identify any hazards along the way, but we can't promise that there won't be any exposure or problematic spots on the route that we weren't aware of
- Working with mountain huts is always an adventure in and of itself. Mountain huts are charming and make for an incredible experience in the mountains, but the hut managers and staff are often more focused on the challenging logistics of running a mountain hut and on welcoming guests than they are on administrative tasks. We work very hard to build relationships with the mountain huts that we regularly work with in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. But, at the mountain huts we don't have an established relationship with, there is a higher risk that they may lose track of a reservation, lose track of payments that we made and/or only accept payment on-site with cash (in this case we will reduce your invoice accordingly)
Basically, booking a fully custom tour through us is much more adventurous than doing one of the standard tours we offer. If that is what you are looking for, then we look forward to receiving your Custom Tour Request.
