SUMMARY:Via Ferratas in the Alps
DESCRIPTION:Conquer ladders\, bridges and heart-pumping exposure with us on a virtual journey to the via ferratas of the Alps\, home to nearly 2\,000 of these vertical playgrounds. These protected climbing routes are secured by steel cables that run along the course of the route. Via ferratas are often decorated by high ladders\, airy traverses\, cable bridges\, and the occasional zip-line. Brittany Haas from Alpenventures UNGUIDED in Munich\, Germany\, will take us on a journey to the top via ferratas across the Alps. Throughout our journey\, we will cover via ferrata safety\, technique\, planning\, and logistics. \nBrittany Haas\, is back! A former trip leader and mountaineering instructor for the Colorado Mountain Club\, moved to Germany 10 years.
