The Bernese Oberland Traverse is the classic Swiss experience. Traverse some of the most majestic terrain the Alps have to offer, enjoying the famous villages of Lauterbrunnen and Murren along the way. The availability of supplemental transportation options , such as a lift and train, allows adventurers the flexibility to spend time in the villages, and on the trail as they like (not included).

The season availability for this tour is driven by hut operating seasons. Huts will often give a general time-frame of when they expect to be open, but will make decisions based on weather and conditions. We recommend booking this tour in July and August in order to have the best chances with the huts.

**The term "room" at a mountain hut varies greatly from hut to hut. These are often shared rooms that are smaller than the dormitories. Rooms book quickly at the huts. When there is no availability, you may end up in the dormitory.
