GO experience the Alps · GO live your bucket list · GO where your colleagues can't find you

Highlights

  • GO cycle to the base of the impressive Morteratsch Glacier in Switzerland on an optional side trip

  • GO  connect two of Western Europe's most famous lakes

  • GO  explore 5 different countries on your mountain bike: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy; with the majority of time spent in Switzerland

Mountain Bike self-guided through Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Italy; passing castles and enjoying breathtaking mountain views. This mountain bike tour presents little technical difficulty, but requires adequate conditioning for the daily elevation gain. Covering 331 km. (206 miles) and 4,212 m. (13,819 ft.) of elevation gain over a total of 6 active cycling days is rewarded at the end with a gentle downhill ride to Lake Como in Italy.

This route is 83% on pavement, 14% on dirt roads, and less than 3% on trail. There is one day of spectacular, but easy, single track high up on a pass. The rest of the tour is on dirt or paved roads. There is more interaction with motor vehicle traffic on this tour than some of our other tours. If that is not for you, please contact us and we can work out a better option for you.
