GM2 Glacier Mountaineering and Via Ferrata
For Less-experienced Mountaineers
Choose your own summits and challenge levels
Complete one of the most famous via ferrata traverses in the Alps
Travel through Germany and Austria
This is the perfect tour for those who have been trained and gained some experience in glacier mountaineering, but are looking to gain more confidence. With summits ranging from PD to PD+ (alpine difficulty level), great training crevasses located near the hut, and an ice climbing area; less-experienced mountaineers have the opportunity to build on their mountaineering skills. The Gross Glockner, the high point of Austria, towers over these peaks and can be added on (please contact us) for more experienced mountaineers (alpine difficulty level AD-). The Via Ferrata, located in a national park in Germany, crosses a spectacular ridge. Although strenuous, this via ferrata presents very little technical challenge.
